You should attend the info session before the application period begins in the fall. You do have to complete anatomy, physio, english 100 and micro, but they will give you 2 packets of detailed info at the session. You also get a bonus point each if you have CHEM101 or nutrition completed. I have taken all of my pre-reqs there, it is a good school.
this was posted on GWC nursing site for anyone who was wondering about notification.....
"The initial review of applications has been completed. Letters will be mailed this week to those who submitted an application which was incomplete. The letter will explain what was missing from the application. A second set of letters will be mailed to students whose points fell below the cut off. Please be aware that each application is reviewed by at least two School of Nursing faculty/staff. Thus, the decision explained in the letter you will receive is final. Please do not call the office as the decision explained in the letter will not be reconsidered.
The next group of letters will be sent out after April 1st, 2014. Please do not call the office as this will delay the processing of letters. Thank you."

So if we hear anything this week, our points were not high enough or the application was incomplete. Otherwise they will notify us after April 1st.

I just mailed away my application for the 2014 ADN program and I was curious from past students what a competitive amount of points is. I have 89/100 because I am not a vet, do not speak another language, and was advanced on the TEAS test (not exemplary). I know from attending the Cypress College orientation that everyone who got in there this past application period, and some of waitlist, had 30/30 points, but GWC does not have a live orientation so I can't really gauge their numbers. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!
