Hi all! I am applying to GWC for the Spring 2019 semester and wanted to start a thread. Please feel free to share any questions or experiences you've had during your application process. I know the deadline to submit applications is next Friday 6/29, so Good luck to everyone!

Were there any from the alternate pool?

Yes quite a few. Some found out even 2 weeks before school started. We had some that got into multiple schools and ended up choosing another one giving up their spots.

I got an acceptance letter yesterday ! I think I had around 76-81 points.

Just opened my letter! I'm number 5 on the alternate list. It said that they accept almost 20 alternates so hopefully I get it! I'm keeping positive :)

I got my Informed Delivery too! My mail doesn't come until sometime between 3-5pm!! UGHH. I'm located about a block from the school.

How much time do you have to respond back and let the school know whether or not your going there? I'm alternate 5 and wanted to see the soonest I may hear back lol

It doesn't say say, it just says alternate pool. I believe their an alternate list and pool so you're chance high since you have number?

I'm not sure. That's so confusing..I wonder what's the difference between the two

It said to respond with the signed acceptance form by Fri 9/28/18.

I'm in the alternate pool - which I guess is the alternate for the alternate pool. My friend who goes to GWC now said a bunch of people got accepted in from the alternate list, but not sure about the pool. Crossing my fingers still!
