Golden West College Spring 2019

Hi all! I am applying to GWC for the Spring 2019 semester and wanted to start a thread. Please feel free to share any questions or experiences you've had during your application process. I know the deadline to submit applications is next Friday 6/29, so Good luck to everyone!

I graduated from GWC with an associates degree in liberal sciences in Fall 2017. So on my degree works it use to show the classes I would need to take to finish up my degree for that major. However, now it changed to listing my major as Nursing & the list of courses have been changed to classes that I would need to finish to get an AA degree in Nursing.

Omg, Mine says the same thing!! I wonder what that means . I'm gunna call a counselor and see if it means anything

So I called and they were saying it doesn't necessarily mean anything. When a student applies to the school with an intended major, the degree works will automatically change over to the major/program the student is applying for whether or not they got in .

Interesting.. I didn't apply to the school as a nursing major though, guess we'll just have to see in October

By any chance can everyone who applied and are on this forum check if their degree works and let us know if it says the same thing? For example

Mine says Program- Nursing ; major registered nurse /RN

Mine goes straight to ADN which was my second option.

I just checked my Degree Works and it changed my program and major to RN as well. I applied to the school with no major in mind and degree works has always just said "Liberal Arts" or something like that in the past.

Anxiously waiting for October to see whther or not I get accepted (I believe I have 79 points)

I got my Informed Delivery too! My mail doesn't come until sometime between 3-5pm!! UGHH. I'm located about a block from the school.
