Going to a state university after attending UOP

Hello =)

I'm contemplating attending University of Phoenix for the LPN/LVN to BSN program...my concern is - am I limiting myself in terms of obtaining my Masters in the future by attending UOP? Do state universities accept UOP credits?

Thank You

Nicu

Yes, all universities will accept UOP credits. I am planning on going to UNLV for my masters (nurse practitioner) and had no problems. UOP is an accredited institution (The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is the national voice for America's baccalaureate- and higher-degree nursing education programs) http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ContactUs/index.htm and your credits will be accepted. But, before deciding on a university please, please, please do your research.

I did my BSN completion and MSN via UofP - and then transferred and did a post-MSN adult health CNS and I'm back in school for another post-MSN peds/family CNS.

traumaRUs,

I've heard that the classes are 5 weeks long, is this true? Does that mean that the students are only allowed to take one class at a time? And some of the classes have lab like Nur/315 and Nur/315L, in this type of situation the theory and lab would be taken together for a total of 5weeks right? Not separately for a total of 10 weeks?

I'm trying to finish my lower division required courses at a CC before starting UofP.

Thank You

Nicu

yes, I am a uop graduate and proud of it!!!!!:coollook: your clinicals are done at the same time as your class. But, like I said before, please do your research before deciding on a university. I had other students in my class taking more than one class as long as you did not have to fullfill a pre-requirement to that class.
