Going from RN to PA

I if go to school to be an RN and take all the pre req. classes for a PA, can I go to med school to be a PA?

You could do it, but I don't think I would. I assume you don't already have a bachelor's degree.

PA schools are a lot like med schools in terms of competition, so I'd hedge by GPA bets and maybe choose something that tends to produce higher grades at the end, especially when combined with tough PA prereqs. Maybe just become a Cna or an EMT or medical assistant and then get a health science degree? Anyway, that's just an idea.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your plan, I just know I'm killing myself for As, and I can't imagine throwing organic chem on top of everything else.

You can be an RNFA. Once an RN do a First Assist course and get certified and they pretty much do all a PA does. I work in L&D as a scrub tech and we have an RN who assists most of the physicians. She is not employed by the hospital though but has her privileges and she bills the patients insurance and physicians directly.
