I am comtemplating going back for my FNP.. trying to decide if its worth it as I do quite well working in our ED as a staff nurse in Minnesota.. The reasons I am thinking about it is: In 4 yrs I may want to get out of the night shift ED work. Increase education, and better use of my skills.. Pay is important but not the only reason. The school I am looking at also offers a masters in CNS... I don't know much about this and was wondering about input from others on the CNS...At age 44 is it worth it to go back to school???

I'm an adult health CNS with an RN background of 12 years (10 level one trauma center and 2 in med/surg/ICU). Definitely worth it. I graduated in 2006 and have been very happy.
