Started school janurary of 2012 at angeles college of nursing in los angeles california. Schooling was tough but i held through and in february of 2013 i had finished and passed my exit exam. I did what most students do and enjoyed myself for a couple of months until i received my papers to test. My wait was around three month and in june i had received them. I was nervous and didn't end up registering until august and set my date for 3 weeks from when i registered.

The pressure was on i picked up my saunders comprehensive nclex review and went over my weak areas. It dawned on me how little time i had to prepare for such a big exam but i gave it my all. Covered a ton of chapters on the book answered a lot of questions using the saunders cd on my computer and made flash cards for drugs, and important lab values.

The week of my test came up quickly, almost too fast and the day before my exam i left open to just enjoy myself and clear my mind. I tested august 30,2013 at 8:00am in redlands california. I arrived extra early around 6am and reviewed some stuff in the car, i went in 30 minutes before my exam to be processed and i was done at 10am. In my testing experience i received all 205 questions and i was sure i had failed, although i still had little hope since my questions were really hard. I had a lot of SATA's, delegation, infection control, and 2 math.

I let 4 days go by until i gathered the courage to try the pearson vue trick (no quick results in california ). I got the good pop up!! i was ecstatic but wasn't going to fully believe it until i got my official results in the mail. I got my results about two weeks ago with the good news that i had passed. I was happy my meticulous studying had payed off and that i could finally start my career as an lvn. I paid my license fee and now am just waiting for it to come in the mail.
