GN Residency Texas Health Resources- February 2019

Published

Hey, Y'all!

I decided to go ahead and make a thread for the GN February 2019 Residency just because I know all of us will be on edge till the interview week in August!

For my preference form I selected THR Fort Worth, Southwest, HEB, Alliance, and Arlington for locations and Neonatal ICU, L&D, and Postpartum for my specialties.

I currently work at THR Fort Worth in the Neonatal ICU as a PCT.

Let's keep everyone informed on the process!

Also, for external it is multiple applications. One for each position. Unless it has changed. I don't know how it is for external as far as the preference form goes, but that would be after they have selected you to move forward.

Okay thank you! And I guess I'll just hope for the best then. I plan on applying for other hospitals as well, but Texas Health is my first choice.

So I just got a call today. Their wording was a little different but she said there were a "few units interested in pursuing you as a candidate." I was like "So they wanna hire me??" I think I have a job! Lol

I had a friend get an offer today, has anyone else received offers??

I was just told that the recruiters wouldn't be reaching out anymore today (8/16), but they would continue to do so tomorrow.

Officially received my offer and paperwork today!

What units did you interview for and where??

PCU Southwest and HEB, but accepted for SW

Hello has anyone else heard back for dallas or Arlington yet?

Hello can you tell me what unit your friend got offer from?

My friend was offered a job at Arlington for ER. I heard they are very behind on calling, they were calling people till 8pm yesterday

Hi everyone! I'm currently in an ADN program, graduating early December and, maybe this is too early to even look into, but I wanted to ask if any ADN grads had a hard time finding residency programs, specifically in the Dallas area?

I plan on starting a BSN program next year and take my boards no later than mid February. If you can't tell, I'm so ready to graduate and start working lol
