GMU ABSN 2022 Entry

Nursing Students School Programs

I was looking for a thread about GMU's 2022 ABSN cohort but there isn't one yet. Anyone else applying for entry this fall?

Got an email back. They said they are reviewing applications. "Mid-March, if not sooner" was the response.

Thanks for checking. I’m so nervous. Anyone knows why it takes so long if the review is completed?

I applied too - according to Mason we should only be able to transfer in 90 credits as a transfer student.  They just ignored all of my upper level language courses and Sociology courses from American.  Strangely - they also left out Pharmacology which I just took at NOVA.  Cool thing is - it's maxed at 90 - so we won't run into the 150% rule for financial aid.

It was an uphill battle to get them everything for a transfer student - it made me giggle.

Good luck everyone!  *checks GWU website again, just in case*

Anyone heard back from the school yet? I’m so nervous

Hopefully by next week or later this week though.. Oof

Nothing here. I’ve been checking my portal and email several times a day haha

I wonder if they are increasing their cohort size. NOVA nearly doubled theirs.
I assume the evaluation of our applications is done and they are ranking us accordingly.
Just for comparison’s sake - there were over 600 well qualified applicants and the cohort was 120 - it’s now down in the 90s I think.

Oh wow! How do you know this? I’m just curious ?

I’m at nova now.

I also was in an information session and the woman said they try to send decision letters out during/close to Spring break time. And she mentioned it's only her and another woman who review the applications and make the decisions. So, I understand why they may not have a solid date as to when they will have decision letters sent out because that's a lot for just 2 people to review all the applications.

Hang in there guys! Hopefully we will know soon.

Isn’t their Spring break next week?  I’m on mine now - still doing homework. LOL!
