Does anyone know of a website or have any information that describes what sort of glucose reading goals that a pregnant diabetic woman should have? I cannot find it in my textbooks, and am currently working in OB/GYN. Thanks!

At the institution I work at we like to have fasting blood sugars below 90 and two hour post-prandials below 120. I just read an article on-line that had fastings less than 95 and two hour post-prandials less than 140. I hope this helps.
:heartbeat It helps tremendously!! I was basically thrown into OB/GYN with no real preceptorship. I really love this clinic, however. I remember reviewing several patients' recorded readings and would see like 110 fasting and the patient would ask me what it should be and had no idea, actually. This happened 3 times, and this was while the physicians were out to lunch, and when I asked the other nurses, they seemed to have no idea, either (scary-huh?). It seems that this clinic is going with what your facility does, fasting

Ours is based on the Sweet Success program: http://www.sweetsuccessexpress.com/
Thank you all. What frustrated me is (once more), I am sent to a place where I am not really oriented, just dropped in to view a few basic ways to teach and am on my own. No handy policy and procedure manuals at my reach, so, it is like I have to research as I go. My textbooks have not had enough (actually, at this stage of the game, they have too little-just enough to pass NCLEX). Thank goodness for this site!
Nice site! I may even order some products or at least suggest them to our clinic. Thank you!
