They're professional enough to say the least... with the retrogression going on all time low, they still provide seminars, trainings etc., and keep you posted, always.

well i actually signed up with Global Care Agency. I think you should attend the orientation and find out for yourself if you would like to sign up with them. With retrogression, it is really quite frustrating but I think what is important is that you take the initial steps in finding a job in US. Anyways while waiting for your visa (which can take for several years), you can continue with your job here in the Philippines.Good luck to you!:wink2:

Remember that they are going to need to prove that they have placement for you when and if the time comes for an interview at the US Embassy. Chances are that this is not going to be easy for many agencies.
Best of luck to you.

BE CAREFUL WITH THIS AGENCY!! IF you are talking about GlobalCare Inc owned by CEO Corazon Bautista then get out of there!!! I was one of the nurses that were fooled by the agency. Sure im already here in the US but they did not make the transistion for me easy. Before when I was still in Manila, they made a lot of promises to us on how they will refund all our expenses for all the exams we took, on how they will provide us with apartments and on how they will take care of us. But then when it was time for me to leave they made us sign a waiver that they will no longer pay for the exams we took. They showed us a copy of how much they spend on us supposedly. When we arrived in the US in San Francisco to be exact (we were the second batch), all 12 of us were put to stay in Corazon's house in Larkspur City, we stayed in her basement because in their place they were not allowed to have that much people inside the house. I was one of the firsts to be brought to our final destimation mine was near Los Angeles. I was surprised because i did not have an apartmnet that they promised and i was shocked that the money of 2000 dollars they asked us to bring as pocket money for us was going to be used as the payment for the apartment!! to cut my story short they left me with no apartment and stayed with a friend of a friend of Ms. Elma Abulencia who was at that time our caretaker. I had the worst experience my apartment was so expensive i had to borrow money from neighbors because i did not start work yet and i was running out of money.. There came a time that i had no choice and told my mother what was happening to me she went to the agency which was then then located in Paseo de roxas in Enterprise bldg and they told her that there is nothing they could do and if she has complaining she should just file a case. My only request was for them to send the other nurses immediately so i can have somebody to share the expenses but my other co nurses was also going thru different dillemas while still in the Philippines. Some were not send as scheduled..some did not have their positions in the hospital they were suppose to work..and my Roommate now..she was punished for believing me and was sent to the US just about her passport was about to expire just to teach her a lesson. I now i sound like im Bashing them i could you lots more stories before i cannot speak because after the incident from my roomie they even warned me if i say something bad about them they will sue me. I asked hlep form our Human resourses and found out that they were not happy about the agency..they were even surprised that these things happen because they know they were suppose to provide us will all these stuff since we are new here. Now im not scared. I dont care who read this they can contact me if they want my details are here. Im just giving warnings to ALL nurses that THIS REALLY HAPPENED TO US.

i've been with global care & i used to think they were good & very professional. everything they said & promised fell through when it was time for me to leave for the US. i don't want to go into details but they would take it out on you personally if you make the slightest complain or they hear something from you not to they're liking. not very professional, i must say. they seem to take care of all your needs while you're there but when you get here, you fend for yourself. there are a lot of options for you out there. my friend got here through HCCA (their ofc is in makati, enterprise bldg) and she's very happy & had no regrets.

Thank you for sharing your stories, how long ago did these horrible things happen to you?
hello alexk49..i joined globalcare around 2002 i think..like what i have mentioned in my post all the weird stuff happened when we were about to leave for the US..it all started with them asking us to sign the waiver that i have previously mentioned about not paying for our exams as they have promised i still have that waiver with me up to now. that was 2005. A lot of us were hesitant of course but for fear of us being delayed for departure to the US a lot of us agreed to sign it beacuse since we are not aware of the things ahead of us, we laso felt like we had no choice. My friend who is now in Vista Ca who i warned not to sign it did anyways because in her case when she asked what will happen if she does not sign it, they bluntly told her that she will be delayed.
i signed with them in March 2002. I was supposed to leave in November 2005 after I got my visa. But then they said I had to wait for few more months because I still lack bedside experience. Huh? I never left the hospital setting since I graduated in 1996, not to mention being in acute- care big hospital settings (PGH, UST, JRMMC). Then I realized I got their boss upset (Corazon Bautista) over some issues I raised about my friends' living conditions when they got in the US. They took my passport and visa ( which I believe is illegal) and required me to get more experience. When I got here I asked our HR director if I was really delayed because of my lack of experience. He said they have been waiting for me since November ( I got here in April, almost 6 months after my visa was issued). I also lost my position in ER and was asked to work in Med-Surg flr after they have given the slot to someone else because they didn't think I was coming. I just went along with whatever the agency wanted at that time for fear that I may not able to leave and I still don't have the financial capability to take legal actions against them for taking my passport and visa ( I finally consulted some lawyers and said it was indeed illegal). I'm thankful that I'm now in a much better place but if I knew I had to go through all that traumatic experience, I wouldn't have signed up with globalcare. All my batchmates got here in the US without all that drama because they were taken care of by better agencies.

now im worried
i signed up a MOA with them about November of 2006, then feb of 2007 i was hired by Lompoc District Hospital (2nd batch) through them. they do have alot of promises, the apartment, the assistance with application of SS # & license.
my Immigrant visa was applied April 2007 & i've been waiting for ages!!!
2 YEARS AND NOTHING CAME!
it's really frustrating not only for me but for my family as well.
back then i was having my bedside experience
but because "on-call" cannot feed & sustain my needs, i applied & now working as a clinical instructor.
the "compliance officer" of global care requires me to have bedside
i but am disobeying them, because of all the reasons we know.
SO I GUESS I'LL BE EXPECTING THE SAME TREATMENT THAT THESE 2 HAD...
THE WAIT, THE FUSS, THE EXPECTATIONS AND FRUSTRATIONS.
And you still have a long wait ahead of you especially seeing as there are many that have been waiting since 2006 and you are 2007
