Hi everyone!
I just applied for the Spring 2024 ADN program at GCC. Just wanted to start this thread for anyone else applying!

thats smart, apply to as many schools! Im a single mom and my kids life is basically in Pasadena, so unfortunately I have to apply only to local places, since I cant go too far and have to pretty much work with what I can.

Yaay! Congrats on submitting the application, I wish you the best! We're going to need a lot of patience for the long waiting time. ?
Keenbear said:Hi just small talk, where does everyone live and is this your first time applying?
Hi @Keenbear I live in LA and this is my first time applying. I'm also applying to 9 ADN programs around LA County. Really hoping to get in somewhere for Spring 2024 ??
You should definitely reapply to PCC since it's so close to home and family, and follow up on your app if you don't hear back. From what I understand, Spring cohorts are generally less competitive than Fall due to there being less applicants, so why not give it a shot if that's where you really wanna go?
Melisa S said:Does anyone know how many students are accepted into the program each cycle? I officially submitted my application. Good luck to everyone.
Congrats on submitting your app! Best of luck to you as well. The RN.ca.gov website says GCC accepts 90 students annually, so there should be 45 spots per cycle.
Keenbear said:it really sucks that we won't know sooner, I was looking forward to OCT 1st , but happy that they at least informed us :)
PCC took forever to update their last application period, and they never sent us updates and it was really frustrating, so happy GCC is on top of it.
I know you applied for PCC's Fall 2023 session, did they ever send you guys a rejection admission response, or does it seem like they only sent acceptance and wait list emails?
You're right, I'm so glad GCC sent us an email update. Even though we have to wait a good 1.5 - 2 months to know our admissions status, I'm glad to receive updated information.
I'll keep the thread updated with any GCC news I receive in the future ?

Yes ! I am glad GCC actually updates their applicants not like other nursing schools!
