Gifts/cards etc to thank clinical instructor?

i'm in level 1 and clinical is almost over. our clinical instructor said to bring in something for the nurses at the floor since they were so helpful. we were going to bring in snacks. i think it's also a good idea to bring our professor something too. she was very sweet and helpful. what are something we can get her?

We always got all of our clinical instructors gift cards to Starbucks. There was usually 8-10 students in a group and all of us would chip in like $5 for a $40-$50 gift card. We would also chip in a few extra bucks each to bring donuts or bagels for the nursing staff.

I've never met a nursing instructor who didn't like Starbucks :)

Last semester everyone in my clinical group got together and decided to get donuts for the nurses on the floor and then we bought our instructor a few things as a thank you because she really went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice clinical experience. Then the class wanted to pitch in and buy things for our class instructors but it got to be too much. It's nice to do it if you have a nice clinical instructor but it can get expensive!

The framed photo sounds like a really nice idea. That's thoughtful and only costs a few bucks!

We usually bring in donuts or munchkins to the nurses on the clinical floor. Some group members have made homemade treats in the past, but most nursing students dont' have that much time!

For clinical instructors, we often donate $5 each, $30 total and get a coffee shop gift card, if the instructor seems to drink a lot. We had one instructor who was going on a cruise and we got her a Borders GC so she could buy guide books for her trip. They've always really appreciated it and it doesn't take much time or effort on our part to show our appreciation.

we always bring the floor nurses bagels from panera or donuts from dunkin. it's just a nice way to say thank you :)

we also always chip in a few bucks to get our clinical instructors a giftcard. we go out and eat with our teacher on the last day, so usually a gift card to that restaurant
