Currently I am a student at GGC and planning on applying to the nursing program for Fall 2021. I just wanted to see who else is planning to apply and we can share our stats.

What school? And does that school require to be a CNA? And what did you get on the TEAS? And what should we mostly study on? I’m pretty strong in my math. I’m just still in the loop on what school, because I’m moving with my bf next year so I’m trying to get a game plan.

Nope, my school didn’t require to be a CNA.  I applied to all of the common public and private BSN programs and got accepted to them all so far. I am not a CNA and didn’t have any issues.

I made a 97.3

I studied that TEAS book (black and yellow one) like my life depended on it and I also did random quizzes online. I studied for 4 weeks hard and kind of looked at it two months prior. I also did all of the apps you can think of/ find in the App Store.

What is your work shift , hours? Etc. work at night ? Day? Weekends? I was thinking ggc or chamberlain

Good Morning! I'm Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts. I work under CHOA. I plan to go to part-time next Summer. I will work for sure, just not sure if I can handle full-time with school and I have two sons. My top choice is GGC, then GSU, and I may apply to Chamberlain, not sure yet.

Four days, 10 hour shifts.

I declined my seat at GGC because I started at another program that would have me graduating earlier.

I found out my acceptance 10/01/20

The Nursing program you choose... you can still work full-time? If so do you mind sharing what school? I just assumed I cant work a full time shift while in Nursing school.

I want to work in the hospital so bad, I don’t care what I do honestly .

I attend GGC. I've been there 3 years going part time..Right now I'm at the outpatient facility under CHOA for Sports medicine and Orthopedics but I'm transferring to Egleston, I'll probably be on 12 hour shifts then..

What where your stats ?

Do you all know if GGC takes the highest TEAS  score from the first two attempts, or they take the second score even if it’s lower than the first one?

I believe they take the highest out of the two, it would only make sense. They allow two attempts so the best score can be used. You can always call the nursing department to make sure of this, but I am pretty confident in that.

Hey guys! I just had a quick question; would nannying count as volunteer hours? It wouldn't be under an actual organization so I wasn't sure..

I believe if you did not receive a profit it would be considered "volunteering" but to make sure call the nursing dept to make sure.

Do any of y’all know that if we’re currently taking last prerequisite classes and applied for Fall 2021. Do they look at our midterm grades from this semester for nursing admission or only look at GPA of completed courses?
