Getting other state licenses while in PAP

Has anyone successfully received other state licenses while in your state's assistance program? I am in a compact state, but am limited to only my state currently. I had one of the licenses my new employer would like me to have, but I did not renew it, thinking I would never work as a nurse again. Job does not involve any patient care or contact, office only. My state program is supporting me as much as they can, but of course, the BON has to approve everything, and the hope is to be granted compact status again at some point- has anyone ever had THAT happen? Or am I doomed to have the single state license for the next 3 years?

Years ago (2009) I did this and it was a terrible idea on my part.  I was in Arkansas and endorsed to Texas but had to do both states.  Twice the monitoring, twice the reports, everything.
