Getting ready for the Passing NCLEX Day

Hello again everyone. As you may recall I have taken and not passed the NCLEX-RN 3 times. Finally after about giving up I started Suzanne4's program and have had to make a commitiment to myself to get through this program. I will not lie and say that it was easy to do because there have been nights that I go to bed wondering if I should of looked things over one more time.

I took the advice of a fellow nurse and asked my DR about anxiety medication because it never fails that before I go in to take the test I am in the bathroom getting sick then the entire time I am a nervous reck. He prescribed Xanax 0.5mg and told me to experiment with it before test day. The first day that I took 1 I went and took a shower to give the med some time to get into my system. I sat down to take the test and woke up to my husband calling and I noticed that I had been on the test for over an hour and was on question number 3. (OK, that was not going to work) Then a friend suggested that I take one at night then 1/2 the next morning before taking a practice test and I have to say that I scored higher on that test than ever before. I am so excited about taking the boards. I know that after this time I will be adding the RN after my name:)

Thanks all for all of your support. The big day is October 23 and I am even going about the location and doings before hand all different.

I'm sure you will do GREAT from what I hear Suzannes a great aid to have in your court.

I'm counting on about 20-30 congrats after you get your results :)

I'd wish you luck - but you won't need it because you have 'skill' as my 16 year old says

NCLEX---get behind thee! You will do fine this time, I'm glad you found your weakness (anxiety). I don't know what mine is...I'm waiting on results from my 3rd attempt on NCLEX-RN so I know what you're going through. Keep the faith, and God bless you!
