Getting a dog before starting nursing school?

Hello! I'm currently finishing up my GE at a community college and will be applying to nursing school next spring. I'm looking to get a puppy in about a month, by the time I apply and depending on how long the waitlist is going to be my puppy will be 1+ years old. At the moment I have plenty of free time to spend with my puppy and I live with 6 people who are all willing to help me. I'm not sure where I will be in a year or two but I would definitely bring my dog along with me. I will most likely still be living with roommates and my dog will be an ESA animal so I don't need to worry about housing. Basically my question is, do you think I can do it?

Hello! I am sure your rescue pup will help you on your nursing journey. They are wonderful companions and great listeners. I am not a fan of crate training, but in this case.. it could be the best way to go for the puppy to be. When you are away for long periods of time , pup will be content in the crate.

Heck I had a baby in nursing school and survived. :) I had lots of help.
