Georgia State University Spring 2014

Published

Hey guys! Is anyone out there applying to the GSU Spring 2014 program? I know we have some time until applications are turned in, but I wanted to get an idea as to who is planning on applying. What is everyone's GPA and TEAS scores?

Looking forward to see what I'm up against! :)

Hellllllo all!

I'm new to this and I'm definitely as anxious as yall are. I applied for the trad program, I have a 3.93 GPA and an 86 on my TEAS. I'll try to inquire some information tomorrow and let you guys know what I find out.

Hello all. I'm new to this site. I applied to both the traditional and ACE programs. I have a 3.7 overall, a 3.77 program, and an 88 on the TEAS.

I swear this thread is the only thing that is keeping my sanity in check.

Simply cannot wait until SOMEONE, ANYONE hears back

tongee Did you apply for Ace or traditional? or both? Your program GPA 3.8 is not bad. How about your science GPA? Teas score? All play the part. According to your information, we may get something Nov 4-9 for the first round. Can't wait.[/quote']

Sorry for the confusion, 3.8 is my program GPA and my teas score was 85. I didn't know there was a separate science GPA so I am not sure what that is. I applied to both programs.

Hey there! Welcome and thanks for the update! I take it you're applying for ace?

I applied to both programs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding, the program GPA is the science GPA.

I applied to both programs.

If you applied to both, do you know if you get accepted for only one, or both and then you choose from there?

Correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding, the program GPA is the science GPA.

The program gpa is basically all of the classes that are going towards your program. All of the courses from English to Microbiology.

gentlerain,

If you applied to both, you have a better chance to get into the program. However, you don't get to choose. They will decide it for you depending on the dynamics of applicants.

Hi all!

Anyone else apply to the online RN-BSN program they're beginning to offer Spring 2014? I'm patiently (not) awaiting a decision, as well!

Correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding, the program GPA is the science GPA.

Gentlerain - the way that the nursing dept explained it to me is that program GPA is ALL the classes required for your program, including ENG, HIST, etc.

Science GPA is the 5 science courses (ONLY) plus labs. So, Micro, AP 1, AP 2, and whatever 2 other sciences you took (BIOL, CHEM, or PHYS).

Hope this helps!

So I wonder, does this mean that they ONLY look at the classes required for the program? I have several business courses that don't count toward the program, but are included in my overall GPA. Not sure if it would help or hurt me if this is the case.

I'm getting even more nervous now seeing some of the TEAS scores and GPA's being posted on here. I have a 4.0 in my science courses, but only a 3.4 for my overall. I only scored 82.7 on the TEAS.
