Hi everyone!
The deadline for the ACE application for Spring 2018 at Georgia State University was yesterday and so now the wait begins! Who else applied?
My stats are:
Undergrad GPA: 3.7
Pre-requisite and Science GPA: 4.0
TEAS score: 91.3
Good luck to everyone and hopefully we'll all be meeting in January!
I created a facebook for us to be able to communicate and we can keep it through our time in the program instead of trying to stay in touch on here
Congratulations Jasmine!!!! Wonderful news!
What did yall do for the page 4 of the behaviors and policies page? I still haven't turned it in... There doesn't seem to be a place for it on Acemapp. And student0707, what did you upload for Liability Insurance? Will you be using the GSU student insurance? I'm a little confused.
Hildegaard, were you able to access ACEMAPP?
I have not accessed ACEMAPP, where do you go to do it? Did you get an email, did it show up on icollege...? And I went to the Student Health Clinic at GSU yesterday and the people there weren't very helpful. I asked them multiple times about what I'm supposed to do for the TB skin test and they were just kinda like, "I dunno."
I am still not able to register for classes nor access ACEMAPP because I didn't get a link sent to me. I called the registrar office and they said SON hasn't updated my status as a nursing student on their side. As for the PPD, the Student Clinic should give you the test there. It says on the health form "PPD test accepted by ONLY Employee Health Services, Health Departments, Occuptional Health services or student health services". All this I found while I was at my primary physician office yesterday. I think I will go to my local county Health Department.

I don't know if anyone else was confused by the difference in Liability Insurance vs. personal health insurance, but I called 404-413-1200 and the gentleman I spoke with said they are the same. As long as we either have personal health insurance or get automatically enrolled in the GSU health insurance, we're covered for liability insurance as well. Per the guy on the phone.
