Has anyone heard back from Georgia Regents (most formerly Georgia Health Sciences U, previously MCG?)

This whole process is so nerve wrecking. I made 70 on the TEAS test . Science GPA is 4.0 while overall GPA 3.73. Does anyone think i have a chance to get in to the program? :(

Your GPA and TEAS meet requirements listed for the program. They said in the web seminar they were going to look at everything as a whole. Don't let your TEAS get you down! :)

I wish i could have done better on the TEAS test. At the same time i think it's reasonable score for someone who is been in America for about 4 years. English being my fourth language makes it hard for me to score higher on these tests.

Yes, they stated they are definitely looking for a more well rounded candidate. That gives me optimism that my other attributes have an opportunity to shine. I hate being just a statistic!

Haji92 where are you from? I think the fact that you know 4 languages will add to your character! I hope you put that on your application.

Well I'm from Afghanistan. I did put that on my application and on the essay i talked about the struggles/hardships i went through. Let's see if they will give me a chance or not. :/

I hope they do! If you do get accepted, having perseverance and being a multilingual nurse will be a great asset to the nursing community!

I really hope so. My goal is to go back to Afghanistan and start out a small clinic with the help of WHO. It was kinda tough for me at the beginning because i was new to this culture. I had to learn how to write and speak English. I think i have come a long way in the past 4 years. My family expects a lot from me since I'm the first one ever to go to college. I'm optimistic about it. Even if i don't get in, i will try next time. I have seen the rough side of the life so i know what it means to have this golden opportunity.

Has anyone else had their status change? Mine changed today.

Mine changed today too!!

What were y'alls stats if you dont mind sharing?

I got a 88.7 on the TEAS and I have a 3.36 GPA
