So I am gunning for Gwinnett techs fall 2014 class and wanted to start a forum for us to show support and exchange info. I am doing my last prerequisite now and am excited to do this. Best of luck to everyone. Lets do this thang!:woot::coollook::rolleyes::laugh:;):bookworm:

Yay! I am finishing up my finals. So happy to be almost done.

Yeah I have a final tomorrow and then Im done!!!

Yay! I am finishing up my finals. So happy to be almost done.

so what are your plans? ive started classes and studying ANP again for Kaplan.

Same, except I'm also reviewing for the teas. I'm taking that first, then taking the kaplan at another school on the 5th of feb to see how I do while I wait for news at GTC. At this point I'm just shoving the most I can in till then. Lol!

Oh I was doing the exact same thing. taking teas, but cant now because of work....and im still taking kaplan at brenau to get my feet wet. im currently studying ap2 lecture notes over again and math. we should try to connect

I wonder if we need to focus on the math portions of cardiophysiology and respiratory. Guess we'll find out after Feb 5th and 6th(my test date). Hopefully taking it early will put me at ease and not be a huge discouragement. Ooosaaahh!

Im definitely not going over any of that. Lol. I'm taking my practice thursday at brenau, what about you?

me too!!! omg we gotta meet finally. we both been scouring other years hopefuls and now we'll be in the same room taking this thing!! the world is so crazy small am i right?

I am reviewing it just cus it is in the physiology part of the heart chapter and they did say to focus mainly on physiology of each section. cardio, respiratory and urinary were popular systems ive heard are commonly seen on the test. and from the brain. sigh....

I've been sort of slacking on reviewing since I went crazy reviewing for the TEAS last week. How did you do btw? I'm pretty much wanting to take the practice to see my weak areas and proceed from there.

well I wanted to take the teas for GPC, but I couldnt because i didnt have enough notice for their deadlines to get results in. but for that, i am a bit happy so i only needed to focus on kaplan. I have to take mine this thursday at brenau as well so I am literally focusing on systems previous test takers said to focus the most on. im using the dvd to really make sure i understand the concepts because rn students today even told me there is no true way to study and get a perfect score. a lot of the questions you kinda have use what you know to "make sense" of what they ask and from there, you get your answer. Im using AP 2 notes until i see if i need to focus on AP1 for neuro waiting until after for the math i was told is was super simple but today those some ppl i just mentioned also said the tie breaker will probably be based on math because people average about the same in science. idk. Guess we'll know what we need to focus more on once weve done this one coming up....

Hmmm, I think they factor in the total score vs what people made in each section. Your overall score, and your pre-req GPA. Then they use a formula to determine how many points you have combined in total and they pick the top students from that.
