I've heard great things about the Littmann steth..... also was told to get it engraved with name and phone number or email addy.... because they have a way of disappearing.....and have abetter chance of being "found" if your info is on it.....

I haven't ordered the uniform yet either - was waiting until the last possible moment to shell out more $$$

I just completed my CPR Training, it was just under 2 hours and the instructor was great. She is actually a former GPC Nursing student and is located in Buford. If anyone wants her number, let me know!

Also, I bought all my supplies from a separate company other than the uniforms. I decided to go with the Littmann Classic II S.E. and it is very nice.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what exactly are we supposed to buy from the uniform place? I know our papers said that we were going to spend approx. $200 on uniforms, but it seems like of the things listed, if we are supposed to buy more than just the uniforms, it would be more than $200. Also, does anyone know if we have to buy the skirt and pants or can we buy whichever one we prefer?

I would like her number, I am still looking for somewhere to take the CPR class and Buford is much closer for me than the others I have found.

Her website is www.heartrescuers.com and you can find a schedule of her BLS classes and you can register from there. If you have any questions let me know

Thank you so much, I don't know why I could not find this company when I looked earlier. I really appreciate the information.

According to the sheet, GPC suggest two uniforms, does that also imply two lab coats?
  8. by cheergirl33
I wouldn't think so. I only ordered 1 lab coat.

Just wanted to let ya'll know that the GPC Nursing Student Association also sells uniforms at Orientation (for cheap). They are from the graduated class. Plus you will actually be able to go home with it that day!

I was just told my a fellow student nurse to be that our fall schedule is semi-posted https://sis.gpc.edu/pls/PROD/bwckctl...1921&schd_in=A

Looks like we have class on TW from 9-3 for 1 month and then on TW from 9-12 from Sept - DEC

N1921 Frontloads Tues & Wed only for the first 4 weeks (Aug 18 to Sept 9) from 9 am to 3 pm. This course includes 4 wks of clinical for each student. Clinical may be scheduled on weekdays, weekends and day & evening shifts.

So - what is our schedule really going to be like? anyone know?

Hi, I hope to be in the Fall 1010 program. Are the clinicals on the other days (not T/W)?? Does that mean you only have to be in Clarkston on those two days? I am just trying to get a feel for the schedule. Thanks so much!!

Hi. I took 1921 in the spring. I can tell you what to expect. Your schedule in the fall might be a little different from the spring schedule, but it should be similar. You'll most likely have lectures 2 days a week. Clinicals are scheduled 2days a week for 4 weeks. Half of students will go to clinicals one week, and the other half will go the next week. So you will have clinicals every other week. You will know which days you have clinicals on the first week of class. You will also have 5 lab check-offs to do in the lab on campus. Those will be scheduled at times that you are not in class or clinicals. It will be a very busy semester.
