Piedmont Henry ED RN Residency 2017

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hey All,

I'm starting the March 2017 program and I'm hoping to find others who are currently waiting to start, already in, or whom already been through their program! I've been relaxing and waiting for two months, but I'm so anxious to start working as a Registered Nurse. Hope to hear some great tips and advice for getting through the first year as a new grad in the Emergency Department.

They also, asked about how my prior experience as a PCT will help me as a nurse, what is the most difficult part of your job, describe a time you went above and beyond for a patient, and tell us about a time you used leadership skills. I think they asked a few more questions in addition to that, but those are ones I remember.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it to help me prepare for my interview. What was the starting rate for the ED and the differentials?

$29 is base pay. Night diff is 3.50 to 4.50 and weekends are 6.00 an hr! From what I hear Piedmont pays the most for new grads in the metro Atlanta area.

That's great! Thanks so much for the information!

How long did it take before your heard back from HR? I had my in person interview and totally forgot to ask about a timeline of when I'd hear back í ½í¹„

Have you heard from Piedmont yet? I have yet to hear back from them.

Congrats NurseMika for getting the job offer!!! I applied to the July announcement (Atlanta & Fayetteville) the first week of February but have noticed on a different thread nobody has been contacted for those locations. Do either you remember if the job announcement was open for 30 days, which could explain the delay in getting contacted? I applied to Piedmont, Emory and WellStar, which I was contacted by three days later by Emory and WellStar to set up interviews.

It it is my dream to work for Piedmont, so praying I'll get an interview that leads to a job offer. I appreciate any insight you can provide because I'll be relocating from New Irleans in May immediately after graduating. Thanks for any insight.

Hi,

I've been away on a cruise to Jamaica but now back to the real world and will begin studying like crazy for NCLEX. Yes, I did get to speak with the HR person who informed me all the ICU spots were filled but ask if I was interested in s position in Med-Surg.

I've been offered a position in New Orleans at a Trauma1 hospital in ICU (an offer to food to turn down), which I've decided to accept that pays like Piedmont. It's my ultimate goal to work a year in New Orleans, in hopes of relocating to Atlanta (which is my dream location to be near my family) then work for Piedmont Atlanta in their ICU. My sincere prayer is for everyone to get offers where they desire! Best of luck to all of us nurses, graduation for me is May 21st! Thank God for getting us to this point!!!!

Could you give me any insight on the gpa requirem5?

Hello,

It's been a while since I've been online because I was studying like crazy and I'm proud to share I passed the NCLEX! I tested Friday, Jun 16th at 2:00 in New Orleans and received my results Monday, June 19th after paying the $7 fee for quick results. I couldn't wait to share the news and I also decided to accept a job offer at the New Orleans UMC , which is a Level 1 hospital in my dream location ICU! God truly blessed me and although I won't be moving to Atlanta right now, I'm praying after getting a year of experience I'll be fortunate to get an offer at Piedmont next year.

I'm cheering everyone on that hasn't taken their exam yet. Good luck, I started my new job this week and have no doubt we will all be great compassionate RNs soon!!!

How do you like it so far ? i just received an offer with Piedmont Henry and offer with St Joseph. Not sure which to choose. could anyone share their experiences at both?

Hi Klouis, BSN. Thank you for the update.

I just interviewed with a recruiter, and she scheduled me for 2 different interviews-Renal and Cardiac.

Do you have an idea of what I should expect?

Likely renal and cardiac questions?

Thank you!
