Georgia Highlands College Waiting Game!

U.S.A. Georgia

Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

I was told that I got into the program on the day of the application deadline...5:00pm. I quickly wrote an essay, got a babysitter, then drove an hour to find a post office that was open late. Talk about a stressfull day! I interviewed last week. I work for Wellstar right now, so maybe it will help my chances.

Sophia, Wow! Sounds like a busy day!

Hope for Melissa,....I'm excited too!......I bought my kids school supplies this weekend and bought myself a few too and started to get even more pumped up about everything...

My kids started back to school today. So between them starting back to school and us having orientation this week, I am definately getting excited!

I wonder when they will let us know about the scholarship. I am thinking the beginning of next week?? I am so tired of waiting but it keeps my mind busy, which I guess is good.

It's too bad we will not know anything before orientation because maybe some the info would be different for Hertitage hall vs. Dev. Cntr campus.

It would be nice to know. I wonder what all we will be doing for orientation? Anybody know?

I've thought about a lot of things we might be doing but I still can't figure out how it will last two days::idea:

We wear name tags, get introduced to our instructors, have a one on one w/a financial aid rep, we go over the required textbook list, and then what??????

I know....it seems like we would only need one day.

The nursing dep secretary told me that on one of those days we will be doing an assessment test to see where we are...whatever that means.

Another assessment test...........:selfbonk: I hope its shorter than the one we took for the scholarship. My head was killing me after I left!!!!!!!!!!

Part of the wellstar assessment test had me chuckling inside. For one portion of the test, it said to pick a description that you most identify w/ and one that you least identify with. It seemed like I kept seeing a choice that would describe a person that was suspicious of everyone....Then another description of a introverted person to afraid to socialize and then the other extreme was the person that partied all the time. Finally, there was one option that actually described a normal, well-balanced person. I kept thinking to myself, common on, this test is silly. I guess it is just to weed out the mentally unstable people?

Don't worry stardan, I am sure you did fine!:twocents:

Its funny you say that....I noticed that too. I kept picking the answer that stated that I analyze a situation before I make a decision. I know that my results will say that I analytical and not a risk taker, that is for sure.

What did you think of the analogy section? I do not like analogies at all!!! Some of them were easy but some gave me a HEADACHE! I was trying to remember the one that says horse is to mule as __?__ is to __?__. I can't remember the comparison, do you remember?

I can't remember that exact question, I just remember there being about 10 of those on the test that I took. The number part was a little challenging for me. I kept staring at them thinking to myself "what is the connection here". I'm not sure if I got them right but some of them were like every 3rd # then every 10th....Then the last one really stumped me...I just picked an answer.
