Hey everyone! I recently applied for CHOAs nurse residency for December graduates. Has anyone else applied? I thought this would be a great way to keep each other updated and to receive updates on application/interviews as the process moves along.

Specializes in ER/Tele, Med-Surg, Faculty, Urgent Care.

Are you a student nurse or an LPN or RN?

About to be a new graduate RN

Hey! I applied as well. I had been checking on their website to see when the application went up and I applied Oct 1st. (I kept clicking on "new grad" postions from the webiste and it didnt lead me to the job req. I had to just search it in taleo...bummed because it went up sept 25 so I hope I'm still ok applying a few days after it opened). As of October 5, my status changed to "application under review" so we will see what happens! I would love to know if yall are applying with a BSN or ASN. I will have my ASN in December but also have a BS in business management and have been working as a student nurse for 7 months on a traum/neuro/ortho step-down floor. Is anyone familiar with their interview process?

OK, then just to let you know that until that happens and you pass the NCLEX, you can not use the title nurse in your username. Please see the terms of service for AllNurses. You can not use a title (LPN, RN, nurse, MD etc) you have not yet earned.

Specializes in NICU.

Do you work at CHOA now sailornurse?

Nope.

I have heard that you first do a digital interview, then the next step is an in person interview, then you shadow, and then you take a peds test. It may depend on the unit though so I don't know. I am applying with my BSN. Good luck!

I heard that as well. I also read that they did not take a lot of resients the last session (I guess that was this past summer...maybe spring) so hopefully they will take a bunch of people for winter 2016.

I have done the digital interview- but have not heard back. I have a few friends that have done their in-person interview.

When did they have their in person interviews? I have also done my digital interview. My application status says interview scheduling in progress, but I have not heard anything yet.

They did them last week and one is doing it tomorrow. What units did you apply for?
