U.S.A. Georgia

Hey everyone! I recently applied for CHOAs nurse residency for December graduates. Has anyone else applied? I thought this would be a great way to keep each other updated and to receive updates on application/interviews as the process moves along.

I applied for med surg, nicu, and picu. I did my interview last Wednesday. So it's been about a week since I've heard anything. What units did you apply for?

Hey everyone! I applied for picu, ed, and heme/onc. I did my digital interview this past Monday but have not heard anything. For those that have done their in person interview, what units did you apply for? Good luck everyone!!

Hello!

I applied October 1st, got an email the next day for a digital interview and completed it on the 7th. My application status was updated on the 8th and it says application under review but I have not heard anything else. I'm not sure if I should take this as a bad sign that its been over a week and still haven't heard anything? For people that have had an in person interview, how long did it take you to hear from them after your digital interview?

Has anyone else heard back since digital interview? I had my interview almost two weeks ago and I am sooooo ready to hear back about the next steps. Wishing everyone the best as we hopefully make important moves to achieve our dreams (:

I was called this afternoon about an in person interview with the nurse manager from the PICU. I completed my digital interview last Monday! Sounds like I will be completing the interview and the shadowing on the same day. When you mentioned you completed your interview do you mean digital or in person? Hope you hear something soon! Best of luck! Does anyone know if we have to take the PEDs exam at CHOA for this position??

I completed my digital interview almost two weeks ago. Are you an internal candidate already? I am patiently awaiting by the phone trying to remain positive!

It sounds like they've been rolling out calls over the past few weeks, so I'm sure you will hear soon! What specialties did you choose? I had an employee referral, so the process may be moving a little faster. Good luck!

Also was your digital interview Monday the 5th or Monday the 12th?

It was the 12th

i actually applied for those same three haha! i've done my digital interview as well but haven't heard anything back so thats great you've gotten the in person interview, congrats! i've read on other blogs you usually met the nurse manager and if he/she likes you, you'll get called back to shadow and take the peds test. good luck!

Thanks! I actually asked my recruiter about the PEDs test and she said they are no longer doing it for the residency program! So one less thing! Also they scheduled my in person interview and my shadowing for the same day. So it sounds like they're condensing the process. Good luck!

That's definitely good to know! Let us know how it goes!
