Georgia Highlands College Waiting Game!

Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

I can sooooooo relate to that little impatient finger tapping icon. I'm trying to stay positive though! This too shall pass and we'll be looking back on this laughing. As of today, it has been 2 months since the application deadline. I don't think it is unreasonable for us to expect an answer by now.

Anybody else from Georgia Highlands want to play the waiting game with us?

HopeforMelissa, the game is on! I am pretty sure that you will hear before me, but maybe we can both find out today. I am just as excited for you as I am for me. I know you want this very badly and you have worked hard and I hope that you will be blessed with good news today. Keep us all posted....:wshgrt:

Can anyone tell me what is taking so long on getting these letters out?

Faculty shouldn't say that you should receive the letter in the mail on Saturday, when they don't even know that the letters have been mailed yet. :nono:

I'm waiting... patiently. I understand that they waited until the Spring grades came out, but still. People keep asking me If I've gotten in and I just have to say that I don't know yet.

I wish I could say that I am waiting patiently. I also wish that I could figure out why it is taking so long to get the letters out. I called up to the nursing dept to ask and they don't know what the hold up is. I asked if there were more applicants this year and I was told that there weren't.:confused:

According to the nursing department, the letters won't be mailed until the end of June. Now, I'm sure they are "padding" that a bit to keep the phone calls down until the letters are out, but still......

I have a hard time believing that it takes this long.

The thing that frustrates me more than that though is the fact that they are waiting so long that it will be very difficult for us to get done, all the things that we are required to do before we can start classes.

But, I digress......I'm trying very hard to keep a positive attitude about this waiting. (I do let a venting session out every now and then though.)

Yeah, I'm trying to stay positive, I guess I am just frustrated b/c I have three small children out on Summer break this Friday. I was hoping to know something by now so that my mind is clear for our time together this summer.

I would love to play the waiting game with you all! Has anyone received any letters at all from the school? I have not even received a letter stating that they received my application or anything! Does anyone know the avg admission score on getting in?

Starrdan2....at one time I was told that an 1160 was "typically" a competitive score for admission.

Nobody has received any letters yet. We are all waiting very anxiously on any word! (They didn't send out any acknowledgements that I know of about receiving the applications.)

If you know anybody with a magic wand, please by all means, wave it! We are going crazy. :wshgrt:
