I am making this thread because I am applying (VERY VERY EARLY) for GBCON! I have spoken with an advisor (******) and have sent my unofficials to her to be evaluated. I dont have the highest overall GPA and I would not like that to determine my acceptance. I am working hard to bring it up the most I can. I am registered to take the TEAS in September so I am currently busting my butt studying for it. I am also working on my essay. I need It to be perfect. The great thing about Mercer is that they dont just worry about your GPA or TEA scores, They look at it all! Even with my low GPA and not having completed AP1/2 or even Microbiology, Abigail still said I will be a competitive nursing applicant because of my work experience (I work at GMCD as a Unit Secretary/ Patient Care Tech in the OR)
I have a full course load this semester and next but the advisor STILL told me to apply ASAP, The earlier the better. The only thing she mentioned was that I would not receive an acceptance letter till my TEAS scores were submitted.
The faculty at GBCON IS AMAZING and so sweet! they answer any and every question you ask!!! Cant wait to hear from anyone who is applying for FALL 2017
I've heard great things too I'm a transfer student. I am taking 4 classes this semester and probably a summer semester. I submitted my application but I need to turn in my essay and my transcripts. @ijfine have you been accepted already?
Hey everyone!! I officially applied for the fall 2017 semester about a week and a half ago. I go to Kennesaw State and I'm currently taking micro and anatomy 2, which I was a little nervous about applying considering they won't be able to see the grades of those main science courses at the time of application. Have any of y'all been accepted yet?! I've heard such great things about this school!
I just applied last week and I just submitted my last piece of information I'm a little nervous but I've heard they are a little behind on applications so it might be a while before we hear anything.
Hey everybody! I just finished my application process with Mercer and I am also super nervous. I am a Kennesaw state university student and I am finished with my prerequisites but now that I review mercies requirments I need to take nutrition. I have a 3.6 GPA 4.0 science GPA but I made a 75 on my TEAS I also applied to KSU but their program is super competitive. Does anyone know when they start sending out letters?
So I spoke to one of the advisors at GBCON AND LETTERS GO OUT THIS FRIDAY..I APPLIED A FEW WEEKS AGO BUT MY TRANSCRIPT HAVEN'T ARRIVED LET'S HOPE AND I PRAY THAT THEY WILL GET THERE IN TIME. I ALSO HAVE TO TAKE A NUTRITION CLASS AND ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY FOR THE SUMMER! GOOD LUCK LADIES!
Omg I am freaking out!! I called yesterday and they told me they have everything except my transcripts. She also said they are a little behind on applications so I am hoping that I receive mine on Friday. I need to take nutrition, abnormal psychology, ethics, and cultural appreciation(not sure about this one because I don't know what classes count). None of these are need for KSU but hopefully I can get them done during the summer semester. Does anyone know how much the financial aid and scholarships will cover? Im a little nervous about the cost.
Nothing for me. I was stalking my mailbox today and received nothing. I was told they need one more of my transcripts Friday. It seems like we might get ours around the same time, hopefully we hear something this week. Sending you good vibes.. GOOD LUCK!
I hear ya this is so nerve wrecking...I'm so nervous at the same time because my GPA was not the best but I'm leaving it in God's hands he knows how much I want to be a nurse, how much I have fought for it and now I just have to believe in myself! Good luck to you too...the next letters go out towards the end of the month maybe first week of March so be on the lookout!
Seriously?!? I don't think I can wait that long the anticipation is killing me I was hoping to hear something by Friday. When did they tell you that if you don't mind me asking? Im sure you will be fine, Mercer considers more than your GPA which is why it is my first pick. I have only applied to KSU because I don't want to go through the process of applying to each school as a student and then to their nursing program that is quite a bit of money, but if Mercer can't let me know by the end of the month then I'm forced to.
