I am making this thread because I am applying (VERY VERY EARLY) for GBCON! I have spoken with an advisor (******) and have sent my unofficials to her to be evaluated. I dont have the highest overall GPA and I would not like that to determine my acceptance. I am working hard to bring it up the most I can. I am registered to take the TEAS in September so I am currently busting my butt studying for it. I am also working on my essay. I need It to be perfect. The great thing about Mercer is that they dont just worry about your GPA or TEA scores, They look at it all! Even with my low GPA and not having completed AP1/2 or even Microbiology, Abigail still said I will be a competitive nursing applicant because of my work experience (I work at GMCD as a Unit Secretary/ Patient Care Tech in the OR)
I have a full course load this semester and next but the advisor STILL told me to apply ASAP, The earlier the better. The only thing she mentioned was that I would not receive an acceptance letter till my TEAS scores were submitted.
The faculty at GBCON IS AMAZING and so sweet! they answer any and every question you ask!!! Cant wait to hear from anyone who is applying for FALL 2017
I completed my application later than usual. I attended the information session in the Fall and actually submitted everything except my TEAS scores and application fee in the Fall. But I stopped because I didn't think I had the stats to get in. But I mustered up the confidence to apply. The worse they can say is no right?
Overall GPA 2.7
Science GPA 3.4 I think
Pre-req GPA 3.1?

Currently work in the ER and I have non-clinical healthcare experience. Lots of organizational leadership and volunteer work. Hopefully my late application doesn't affect me too much!
I've been told that all pre-reqs have to be completed before the start of the program. They used to waive a few courses and allow them to be taken at later dates but that's changed this year.
I received an email from an admission counselor saying that I'm missing one pre-req (Sociology or Anthropology) and was told that my application packet will be reviewed without it but it needs to be completed before classes start if I were to be admitted.
For any of you that applied recently, how long did it take for you to hear back? I'm anxious lol
