Hey Evreyone! I just wanted to get a thread started for those who applies for GBCON's incoming class for fall 2014! I applied just last week and I'm excited to hear back from them! Has anyone else applied or heard back? If you don't mind sharing your stats as well (Teas, GPA) that'd be great too! I applied with a 3.35 and an 81.3 on my TEAS but I think I wrote a really good essay so hopefully that helps some too! I'm also thinking about retaking my TEAS.... I'd love to hear back from you all as we start this process! Thanks and good luck to you all!
Congratulations Jennybre!! I can't wait to meet you! We had our first Social Networking Event tonight. The next one will be in April. If you haven't already, go ahead and sign up for CPR on the school website. Dates are Aug.9 or Aug. 16...whichever day is best for you. This will be such an AMAZING experience! I look forward to meeting you. If you would like to get connected then you are welcome to add me on Facebook...Michele Griffith :)
Mercer really does review applicants holistically, so I think you have an excellent shot. I know they weigh science GPA more than your overall. Your prereq GPA and TEAS are outstanding! I think you have a great shot!
Ooh, I have not signed up for CPR yet. I will check it out! What did everyone think of the social? To the person who asked about on campus housing, I have only heard good things about it. I do know they are a lot nicer than most dorms, if that helps. I plan to live on campus or close by as I currently live about 90 mins away and don't want to make that commute while in the program.
Hey Meeep! I will have on a pink blazer. That should stand out :) I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I can't wait to meet everyone!! Have you signed up for CPR yet? It is up on the website. One for Aug 9 and the other Aug 16. Also the schedule is up! White Coat Ceremony is Aug. 14!![/quote']Where did you find the schedule?
Where did you find the schedule?
The schedule is on the school website. Mercer.edu/nursing. Then on the left hand side, choose enrollment. Once that page comes up, scroll down and click on one of the dates. You will see the heading 'CPR' etc. I really enjoyed myself at the social event. I wish I would have known who you were. How did you like it?
Here is our schedule of classes as well. Also, tentative

So do the lime green lines half way through the tentative schedule represent a change in semester or...? I'm confused. That is too many classes for just fall semester, right?

I heard back within a few days of sending my essay in. I had applied and sent transcripts right before Christmas, but spent the break fine tuning my essay. Hope that helps!

Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I have learned this is not necessarily always the case at other schools. Praying financial aid is good to us!

I finished the application process today. It would be an absolute miracle if I were accepted. I went to UGA from 2006-2009 and dealt with personal issues and left with a 1.34 gpa
I have been at GPC for 4 semesters now with a 4.0. my cum gpa is right at 2.0. Most of my prereqs are As with just a couple Bs.
I made a 92 on the TEAS
Hopefully they will look at my recent achievements and not my failures from my past.
They have my GPC transcript and essay and are waiting on my UGA transcript and my AP score report from college board
I want this SOOOOO badly. Please pray that I get in!
