Georgetown admission-acceptance/rejection

Has anyone that has applied to Georgetown Nursing online been accepted when the Decision line said to call admissions? I submitted my application a earlier this week and I was told that it could take until the end of the week for it to go to review. I have not received an email saying that it was to the review board yet. All of the messages on here I have seen that have had that post on MYAccess have been rejected. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I had the same status on MyAccess and got accepted. I received my acceptance email the next day. Hang in there! It just means a decision was made and you will find out soon!

Thank you. I hope there is some good news on the horizon. I just heard from my counselor that they need another copy of my transcripts and another letter saying exactly what class I'm in now and what classes I have left. Fingers crossed.

Well, I received my rejection email on Saturday. I have tried contacting my counselor but as some other posters have stated that after submission of the application they have not seemed interested in speaking to me. Every time I would call she would seem annoyed. I was told I could find out why from her supervisor. I sent her an email asking if he could get in touch with me and she sent back a curt email saying she will send him my way. Oh well, if they are this way in admissions maybe it is a sign about the program.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time with that--I've heard they've been good about it in the past. They used to hold live sessions on how to improve your applications, in fact. I hope you hear from the supervisor soon. PM me if you have anymore questions. I'll be happy to help.

I was so jealous of everyone that wrote about their great experiences with their advisers there. She told me knew it was me calling whenever I did because of her caller ID. I can not get her on the phone at all now. I really like the layout of their program. It is unfortunate that I had to have this experience.

I wonder if they sell your information to Simmons?? Because I received an email and call from Simmons today saying they use the same provider as GU so if I give my permission they can access all my transcripts, references etc. On another note I called the other day and talked to another admissions adviser they said that they would have the manager call me back I still have yet to here anything....

I was also rejected from Georgetown's FNP program a few years ago. I called the head of the program directly (she was also at the interview) to ask if I could stop by and discuss why, so that I could strengthen my application in future years. She was very unhelpful and it took me a few calls to finally get her even to talk to me over the phone. In the phone conversation, she did not say anything other than "the other applicants were better qualified" without specifying which qualification was at issue. It is clear she had no interest in speaking to me. (Just as well, I would up going to a much better school.)

My impression was (and I also heard this from others) that Georgetown was looking for a specific range of experiences and ambitions from their applicants.
