George Washington University ABSN Summer 202

Hi all! I recently deferred my acceptance to GWU to the summer of 2020. I was wondering if anyone else has applied or received an acceptance letter to this cohort. Wanted to make a space for those that are going to be attending summer 2020.

hey I applied to the summer program but I didn't get in because of my bachelor's degree GPA; despite having a high prerequisite GPA. That just seemed weird to me because I can't change that GPA again. I can only improve on the new one and I had a reason. anyway, do you know what I could do to improve myself, what were your stats like?

Hey! I recently applied to the GWU ABSN 2020 program this past week. I am waiting on my last LOR to come in. But I am extremely nervous cause I applied late. Does anyone know how many people they accept in the summer program?

Hi!!!!!

I also just got my acceptance for Summer 2020 cohort today!

I'm still waiting on other schools (GWU was my very first acceptance), so I have not yet accepted their offer.

Does anyone know how long they are willing to wait for me to make a decision?

Congrats to everyone else :) this is very exciting.

I don't mind! I was extremely worried about my chances because my stats weren't great, but I am very lucky.

I had a 3.4 undergraduate GPA. I don't exactly know my prereq GPA, but I had mostly As and many a couple of Bs in like stats and english or something? (Just not in the science prereqs). Also had a volunteering experience specific to nursing and couple of work experiences.

Nothing much special really. The essay is the most important part of the application in my opinion. If you are planning to apply soon, best of luck!! ?

yeah, I applied already but I didn't get in. my undergraduate GPA was the problem but I tried to find out what I could do to improve it but they wouldn't respond to my emails.

I believe that I was on a waitlist, because I got in only weeks before the Spring program even started, which is why I had to defer. My undergrad stats were not too impressive. I think I had a GPA of a 3.28. I did decently well in my prerequisites, but I think I had a strong essay. Maybe look at your essay and see what possibly could be changed?

Congratulations! What other schools are you waiting to hear back from? I had to choose between a few, but I think that I am going to go with GWU. The program seems pretty good.

When did you apply and when did you receive a decision?
