George Washington University ABSN Fall 2020

Published

I've just applied for the GWU ABSN Fall 2020 and wanted to see if anyone else has? My application is currently under review. Curious to see what everyone's stats are and where they are applying from.

I have a master's in Shakespeare and am a professional actor. I currently work at my local hospital here in Orlando as a Unit Secretary.

I was just accepted today! Will anyone be moving from NYC ? What about financial aid ? Will anyone be working during the program? I honestly didn't think I'd get in. Is there a page on facebook yet so that we can all chat before the program begins? I still am waiting for a few programs but gwu was one of my top 3. I'm nervous and excited simultaneously ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️

So I got accepted a few days ago! I am still waiting on a few more schools from nyc so I wouldnt have to move away! Do you know anything about this program? I applied as a back up but from what I've read so far, I seems like it would be a good choice

does anyone know if there are still spots for the fall 20 cohort??

I would still apply. I applied earlier this week and got an acceptance a few days later. It wouldn't hurt to try! They have rolling admission I believe

I actually decided not to pursue Gwu as I was accepted into a school in NYC. I would have loved to attend Gwu if it wasn't for the cost of the program ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️ and the low starting salary in d c and Virginia for nurses which u wasn't so impressed with and kind of was shocked about. From what I do know of the program is, the staff are supportive and if you're lucky you'll be chosen for the Washington squared program. Rent for me was expensive as it is in Ashburn so I had to slowly let go of the option to attend. Nor do I have a car so that would have been another cost I'd have to manage. Hopefully for my Np degree I'd def consider Gwu again after I've gained experience with my BSN career. Good luck!!

Awesome congratulations !! What is the washington squared program?? Also, do you know if getting a degree in viriginia then going back to live in nyc would affect my salary in any way, because I wouldn't stay there after graduation

It's a scholarship program- the website on gwu had more info. If you go from NYC to Virginia then you have to take the licensing exam in va to work there

I got waitlisted as well. Do any of you know when waitlisted applicants will hear back?
