i received an email and here what is all about:

dear nurse,

we want to inform you about the exciting news regarding the ability of geolearning centers to assist nurses to immigrate in the united states. we have partnered with geonurse - a direct employer of nurses in the united states and nclexquizbank - online review for foreign nurses, to offer filipino nurses the most affordable means to fulfill your dreams of becoming a nurse in the united states.

for the first time in three years, geonurse has opened its doors for applicants into its geonurse associate program (gnap)!!! they have made this decision based on the current critical nursing shortage in the united states, and they are actively recruiting nurses for an expected opening of immigration later in 2010. our partnership is that, they will only accept new candidates who have become nclex-qualified as a result of graduating from any of the geolearning centers' review programs. gnap nurses will have all of their immigration processing paid for by geonurse, and they can select employment from any of the 14 hospital affiliates of geonurse in the united states][/b]. with geonurse,

- no fees to pay

- no hospital experience required

- no salary deduction

- reimbursement of exam fees

geonurse's managing director will be travelling to manila later this year to meet all students who are enrolled at geolearning centers for initial interviews into the gnap program.

anyone here who happened to be an nclex passer and reviewed at geo learning center? is it really true that geo nurses will really hire only students from the said review center??

thank you..

is this true? so this is like a review center similar to kaplan?

Actually, they just started last year and I'm interested with their program.

I'm already procuring my papers for ARAKANSAS state board exam and I'll be having my review there in Geo Learning Center. I visited their office in Boni near MRT station.

i inquired months ago about their review and planned to enroll on their said program. but i had my second thoughts about the review center. they've been calling and texting me all the time - i got irritated, and from that day on, i started to doubt. Cant they wait????? why are they pressuring me to enroll?

@felicitypaul,

I finished already taking the NCLEX.. I just want

@felicitypaul

How is your review?? Is the GEO NURSE agency thing is true? Do you know anyone who become an applicant of GEO NURSE thru the Geo Learning Review Center??

@glazed, not yet I'm planning to take my review there.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Be clear on finding out what sort of visa you will be getting?

There's no harm in trying, right?

i reviewed at GeoLearning. it was good but not as awesome as other notable review centers although its not the review center that will make you pass the nclex, but you yourself. Along with the quizbank access i also got the newest edition of Saunders Review for NCLEX-RN (wich costs around 2k) for free. i dont know if they still give out books though.

anyway, people there are great. very accommodating and they will try to help you in any way they can. especially with the whole nclex application.

basically all you need to do is pass the nclex, pass the ielts and they will help you with the visa screening and everything up to assimilating where you will be working at the US.

most of their affiliate hospitals are in the east coast mainly Arkansas so if you had the luck of applying for california (since it can't be done anymore), they will help you with the reciprocity. i talked to the Managing Director yesterday and they said they will be processing our visa applicaton thru Premium processing so that means they will not undergo Regular processing which virtualy takes years. it will only take around six months. but first they're still waiting for the US immigration to loosen up on foreign workers especially nurses.

by the way,if you join GeoNurse,they will process you for IMMIGRANT not tourist. atleast that was what i was told.

havent taken nclex yet but will take it on december.

hoped this helped

Premium processing hasn't been around for over 2 years. Nurses generally come under EB3 and there is no way you can jump the queue so even if there is premium processing your PD will be the date of receipt of your application and that is when you join the queue so if you have a PD of 27th June 2010 and they are processing 2005 then you still have 5 years ish of waiting
