Have you guys read about this "merger"? Are there any others that work for the Healthfield Corp and wonder how the change is going to affect you?

I have worked for Gentiva for years...since they were Olsten Home Health.
Like any large for profit corporation, there are benefits and some things that are not so great. I did make decent pay as a manager, but PDN rates are low, and visit rates are not wonderful ($35/visit) for this area. good things are the online free ceus and the ability to transfer to any other branch in the US..and there are many.

Please tell me, when did the merger take place?
For the last year my Gentiva office has been in chaos with new managers, many firings, lots of sudden and unnecessary changes. Having worked for them since they were Hillhaven (more than 20 years) I've found this nearly intollerable. Having just learned about the merger, I'm wondering why it has had such a negative effect here.

I worked for Gentiva before the merger and found that poor behavior was attributable to new individuals who came to the office. The new manager would not even return calls to my client and was very rude when dealing with the client and the nurses on the case. The client was all too happy to move the case to another agency.
