I work as a CNA for the health system, the nurses are union and so far from what i've heard its pretty good. Just like anywhere else you have your ups and downs. A couple of weeks ago there was an article in the flint journal from a Genesys nurse, stating that management has strayed away from the values aspect of the mission statement, and so far she's correct. The new CEO doesn't want the union, but they aren't going anywhere. In all the benefits are darn good. Give it a try! I've been an employee at the nursing home for 12 years.

Thanks for the info!! I appreciate it.

I worked at Genesys and its the only hospital that i would recommend. The Nursing Education staff are great. The hospital is beautiful, the patient load is fair and the Nurses are helpful. If you dont like a unit you can always switch in 6 months but its one of the best hospitals to work for in Michigan. Beaumont is another good one. Plus Genesys is owned by ascecion Health it's probably the second largest healthcare provider in the US. True it's Union but you will be fine
