  1. CONGRATS!!!
  2. I would like to know of anyone who graduated from the school, and if you continued on to get your RN at another school. My question is did your credits transfer well?
  3. I work as a CNA for the health system, the nurses are union and so far from what i've heard its pretty good. Just like anywhere else you have your ups and downs. A couple of weeks ago there was an article in the flint journal from a Genesys nurse, stating that management has strayed away from the values aspect of the mission statement, and so far she's correct. The new CEO doesn't want the union, but they aren't going anywhere. In all the benefits are darn good. Give it a try! I've been an employee at the nursing home for 12 years.
  4. Hello, I have posted a question similar to this one on the LVN/LPN forum and i have also visited the school and so far i am leaning on going but i have to check out a few more things, such as transfer of credits once i complete the program. Check out the forum!
  5. I'm curious about what they consider a quarter as far as payment, is a class considered a quarter or is it three months? So far that's the only big question that I need answered.
  6. Please send private message regarding Brown-Mackie. Curious about what went on.
  7. I understand your thoughts regarding the sciences classes, because at DV we have to take BIO105, which deals with way more science than what baker has taught. I felt lost and out of place. This made me scared of the HESI. Which I still yet have to take.
  8. I understand how you feel about repeating classes. My math didn't transfer over to Davenport and so I am retaking it again. I am also still exploring other options. Boy, the lessons we learn after the fact!
  9. Don't give up!!! I am in the same boat as you and I refuse to give up on locating a school. Some how some way I am Going to a NURSE!!! STAY STRONG, KEEP SEARCHING!:roll
  10. Has anyone attended or know of anyone that has attended this school for their Nursing Program?
  11. :angryfire In no way would I advise anyone to attend Baker College for nursing, it's a rip-off. They claim that you only need to have a certain grade in all of your classes, but they only take the top 30 with 4.0's. Just tell students from the start that they should maintain an 4.0, and let them decide if they want to spent their life savings in that school. Still chances are you may not even get in!! ROBBED by BC!!
  12. Can't seem to find any in Michigan.
  13. Third shift in LTC should be for people who have experienced the other areas of nursing, so that way you don't miss what you have already experienced.
  14. :angryfire Why isn't there an easier way for nursing students to obtain a diploma/certificate, for the LPN program, without having to wait for years at a time, to either get on a waiting list or continue to reapply for the program. They continue to talk about the NURSING SHORTAGE, and the decline in ENROLLMENT, but its becoming harder to even get into a program. WHY!!!!!!! :angryfire
