Nursing Students Pre-Nursing
Published Jul 17, 2013
Hello! I will be starting my pre-reqs for nursing school in the fall. Any advice on what to do and what not to do prior to pre-reqs and or nursing program?

Thank you! I have a list of pre-reqs needed but I thought that chemistry was the first you needed to take in order to start others
My school calls those "Developmental Courses". Some say "Remedial Courses". I had to take Chem, Math (Basic Algebra, they now call it MTT 1-5, depending on where you fall on your entrance exams), and Bio as developmental courses because I had been out of school for so long. Then I moved on to my pre reqs.

You know, it's strange. My college has some requirements like that too, like you have to take Chemistry before taking Microbiology, or College Algebra before A&P, but they never enforced them. But anyway I think you should be able to work them in accordingly anyway. You probably will need around 50 credit hours for grad requirements and admission requirements for the nursing program. You will have time to work in all the science courses without having 'dead' semesters.
