Hey everybody! I'm a final-semester nursing student, and I'm getting tired of wearing the horrible student uniforms we have to wear - they're designed to make us stand out, with white pants, :uhoh21: a t-shirt,:uhoh3: and our choice of a pinafore-style "jumper" from kindergarten, :eek:or a cheaply-made short "lab coat" which makes anyone look fat. :barf01:Anyone else suffering with awful uniforms?

Most of my classmates hate ours - they are black scrub bottoms and a red top. I love them as they are not white which would not look good on me.

I'm jealous....sheesh.

White scrub tops, dark blue scrub bottoms, white lab coats......Can't and won't complain!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, and we have the "Shoe Natzi." She stands at the door when we come into class and is literally squatting to make sure our shoes, which are white, look "bright white...not that dingy white." She sends people home or to their car to change shoes if they aren't "Bright white." I learned to carry white shoe polish in my bag!!!!!!!!

Our uniforms can make you almost blind if you look for too long. They are that really royal blue shade. The color is beautiful but too much of a good thing can squash the effect. Both the tops and pants are royal blue, even our warm-up jackets are royal. I think a mix of this color with perhaps white would be alot nicer...and much easier on the eyes.

We have to wear navy blue pants and a baby blue polo shirt with a lab coat. But we were told that our underware and bra have to be white no colors and absoutely no thongs.

How crazy!

I wish I had your uniform. Ours are solid white- which I just do not feel comfortable wearing ( especially during a certain time of the month )

We're lucky; navy blue scrubs and a white lab coat. We look like a lot of staff. No complaints!
