Just a quick question.

Do you take your tests in class or in a testing center?

At my school most of the tests are done in the testing center. What that means is I take the test whenever I feel ready up to the cut-off date. I absolutely love this method as it leaves room to play with and if I have a parent/teacher conference or work or just plain don't feel good I can put studying off until the next night. I try never to wait til the last minute to take them though.

That does sound convenient! We take ours in class. Our program has its own scantron - type machine, but different so we can also use the back to answer the fill ins, math, vocabulary etc questions.

We take it at the beginning of our 5 hour lecture, then get a lecture, then by the end of class they usually hand them back with our grade. I like that a LOT so I don't go a week waiting for posts.

Specializes in Med-Surg.

We have our tests in class. Our lectures are usually 3 hours long, but on test days they take the first hour for the test, then let us out of class 30 minutes later than normal. And it can still take them a couple of days to get the grades posted, even though almost everything is scantron.

I think that is a great idea to use testing centers. We do ours in class. Our instructors would probably be too afraid that if someone took a test before others, they might inform the other students of the questions.

I think there would be less test anxiety by not sitting in a classroom :)

We use a testing center, there is no way our instructors would give up their lecture time for us to test. The only problem is scheduling the time to go in & take it. I also have to wonder if other students share information. We usually have about a week to complete the test & most don't take it until the last day.

FOR ME IT'S A CLASS

I would love to take them in a center! Unfortunately we have to take them in class with no exceptions. You can't come to class....zero....
