Spring semester finally done!

Hi all. I finished my last final yesterday. I found out that I got an "a" in Nutrition and a "b" in Anatomy. I am a little sad about the "b", but I know that the most important thing is that I learned a lot. Most of the people in my class dropped out so I am glad just to have it done. With my classes, my husband being out to sea, learning phlebotomy and volunteering at the hospital, my son having some difficulties at school, my being sick a lot, etc. there were times that it felt like this semester would never be over. I am taking a much needed break to spend time with my returning husband and my son as well as computer shopping, car shopping, visiting my mom in San Francisco, etc. before continuing in the Fall. I take my phlebotomy final this Friday so after that I will really be able to relax for a bit. Of course, soon I have to start studying my math book so I will be able to test out of taking any more math classes, but I am taking a bit of a break before getting started on that. Bye for now, Kimberly

Kats,

Congrats on the A and B and good luck on your Phlebotomy final! Wow! You had a really busy schedule this semester...whew....Congratulations also on sticking it out!

Congrats on the grades Kim. Now relax and have a nice summer. Have a geat time with your sailor ;)

CONGRATULATIONS on your work. It seemed like you had a pretty rough semester but you still did wonderful despite everything. Hope you are able to have a nice, relaxing summer. (or at least for part of it.)

I took my phlebotomy final and got 98% plus 2 bonus points. I only missed one question. Now the only thing I have to do is the interview with the LPO of the lab (that stands for leading petty officer.) I do that this Friday, but I am sure it will go fine. Then I will be a certified phlebotomist. My husband also came home yesterday. I don't know if any of you saw on the news about the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier and it's battle group returning to San Diego, but that was where my husband has been for the past 7 months. We are so glad he is home! Yea! That's it for now, I just thought I would update you all. Bye for now, Kimberly

Ah, yes, I remember those days when hubby finally came home from sea...he's been retired for 10 years now, and believe me, there are some days I wish I could find a boat to stick him on for about six months! But I wouldn't give up those days as a Navy wife for anything...they taught me I can do whatever I set my mind to, including making it through school and becoming a nurse. Kudos to you for reaching toward your goal while also having the "toughest job in the Navy". Congrats on the super grades...you are an inspiration!

Kats:

Congrats on your grades... "B" is great. When I started Nursing school, I was so dissapointed to get a "B", now, I am very relieved to get "C". It gets pretty tough so you have to relax a bit and you will be OK and not go CRAZY...

As one of my nursing instructors says: You want RN after your name not an "A" or a "B"....:o)
