Aren't Gordon's 11 Functional Patterns loosely based on Roy?

Nursing process, Roy lays it out for you. Her theory is pretty much at the foundation of what is taught in most nursing schools today. For a nice breakdown of her theory see the appendix of a Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary. They lay her theory out really nicely for you.

Help, I find the concepts and reading roy really difficult. Not so much because of the material presented, but the dryness of it...Roy kicked half a class out last term, and I don't want to be apart of that grim stat.. so help!!!!!
