I got another NCLEX book when I was at the mall last night with my family. There is a bookstore at this mall that is going out of business (in fact I notice a lot of the smaller bookstores going out of business in my area I guess Barnes and nobles and borders is really taking over now) well anyway everything was marked down and I could not pass up the wonderful offer. Well it is NOT any NCLEX book, I don't know how many of you have it or heard of it but it is called Kaplan NCLEX-RN fifth edition complete, effective preparation through 2003. It has two practice tests, a Cd-rom with computer-based practice test, detailed performance analysis and complete explanations. In the first half of the book it gives you test taking strategies for the NCLEX and how to answer NCLEX style questions and how to pick the right answer. In the last half it has the practice test. I really wished I would have had this book from day 1 because it really shows how to pick the best answer. I recommend it to those who wished their test grades were higher like I do. The book also has a money-back guarantee that for ANY reason you are not happy with it you can returned it the book is not just a money back guarantee for those who took the NCLEX.
I stay up pretty late last night/this morning reading part of the book and now I am beginning to see how to answer questions better and what I have been doing wrong.
That NCLEX book from Kaplan that you told us about sounds really cool. I tried to look for it at Amazon and B&N but I'm not sure if I'm finding it. Can you please tell me the ISBN as it sounds like a great book. Thanks!!
Thanks Cyberkat! Well, today I just happened to be at B&N and I happen to walk by the Nursing section and because I happened to run across the Kaplan book, I bought it!!!
Can't wait to get into it. I'd rather read this new book than any Potter and Perry book anyday...
UUGGHH!! Potter & Perry, I'm afraid I've only just begun with them...HAAA!!! I thank you for the info, I plan to purchase the kaplen book...it sounds great. Wendy
Hello all I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy new year. I am definitely going to check into the NCLEX book and start using it along with my class studies. :)
