I am a LPN student to be (8/23/04) from NJ. I am looking for other new students to talk to and share this experience with. I am very anxious to get started in school and wish it would begin already.

Hi-

I start LPN school tomorrow in New York. I am so excited, amongst other emotions :uhoh21: I will keep you updated on how things are since I start before you. Look forward to "speaking" with you again soon.

Hi,

How does your program run? I have not recieved any information from my school yet except for that I have been accepted. What classes are you starting with first? Also, I how old is your child? I have a 16 month old son, he will be 19 months when I start school and I am also very anxious about leaving him in daycare since I have been home with him since he was born?

Good luck tomorrow!

Another LPN student waving hi! I start in July. *gulp* If your school is anything like mine, you should be getting info about orientation soon. At orientation or in a letter, they will tell you what vaccinations you need, the TB titer, physical, and CPR classes. If you don't start until fall, then you have time, but I would keep my eyes peeled for that info to come! Congrats on getting in! Yay!

I've been doing a bit of studying, just to make sure I can still do it. :chuckle I started reading A&P, and brushed up on algebra. I also have been studying medical terminology. :)

Hi..I start lpn program in August, in Alpena, MI. My first semester is: fundamentals, 2 days a week of clinicals, parent/child nursing,med/surg,pharmocology I, community health, & dosage calcs.

Hi another LPN student to be here:) My classes start August 11. I am a single mother of a 6 year old little boy. I haven't been studying at all this month, but July will be busy. I will take 2 classes that count towards my ADN and I will purchase my nursing books...dosage calculations will be something I will be looking over. I have also ordered the book.."Test Success: Test Taking Techniques for Beginning Nurses" I have heard this will help me out tremendously. Other than that...I will be anxiously awaiting orientation on July 7...I am really excited to find out who my classmates will be for the next 13 months! Good luck to ya!spacer.gif
