Hey I am kind of in the same obat here. there is so much information to take in. All I can say is try to understand the material more that memorize it. I know for me it takes awhile to read the selected chapters because I try to say what does this mean? Then i go over it in my head to make sure I understand what the book is saying then i move on to the next area. Sometimes I do skim but for me I need to read it. Now having said all of that I will wait until my first test to see if what doing works.
welcome karen!
i'm zach, just about ready to start my last year of nursing school. this is a great board, feel free to ask anything.
i would suspect that you are assigned a lot of reading in your classes. depending on your life, it just may be too much to read. what i suggest is to skim subjects that will be discussed in an upcoming lecture. then afterwards, go back and read those sections discussed in lecture to really solidify the info. read anything else they suggest you read.
