Introductions:"New" and "Old" Students.

Nursing Students General Students

How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

I can't seem to get past page 47 on this thread. Is anyone else having that problem? It won't advance any further towards the new additional "introductions" past the last one on page 47.

Do we need to start a new page?

Hi All!

I am a 43yo returning adult student, beginning my first semester of Nursing on Monday!!! All courses done, except for my nursing. I am excited, scared and a whole lotta other emotions. I have wanted to be a Nurse all my life and finally..I am doing this for ME!! I am so very lucky to have a supportive SO and a 14 yr old son!!

8.28.06 the insanity begins!!

Good Luck to all!!!

Good luck to you!!! I can not believe that it has almost been 8 weeks of school for me. It has been very intence, emotional and everything in between but, it is right. Never let go of your dream for yourself. Stay on the path no matter what hurdles may come your way and you will be all the better for it.

Hello....I am Catherine, I am beginning my LAST year of nursing school. My life has changed so much because of school, but only for the better. I have wonderful family and friends who are behind me all the way. It is scary for me because when I finish I will be entering the real world, but I will be doing what I love!

Is there a thread for students forty and older?

Its so good to see ...I am not alone in this, so many times I have wondered if I am to "old" to do this..but heck, if I DONT..I will still be 45 in 2 yrs right?? So, what the heck..Just do it..LOL!!

Hi, My name is Crystal and I just found out that I got into the RN program at my school. My program starts in less than two weeks. I am super nervous! I am 22 and I have been happily married for two years. My husband is in the Navy and we have two beautiful kitties together. I am so happy to be one step closer to achieving my dream of being a nurse.

Thanks for reading!

Hello,

I am a 40 yr old female residing in CA. I am 2 weeks into my first semester of an ADN program.

It took me 3 yrs of pre-req time to get here. I alternate between feeling completely at ease and completely anxious.

Sounds like I am in the right place!!

Hi everyone! I'm Ashley, a canadian student, going into my 2nd year of a BN program. Very nervous to be starting this year, as I start clinical!

 Hello I'm Trish and I am a 35 year old student. I am entering my second semester of a 5 semester nursing program. Over the past 2 1/2 years I have worked hard to complete prerequisite courses for 2 different schools and was finally accepted to a program in NM in the spring of 06. I have never actually had to study for any course before, and I am finding nursing school hard and challenging. For all you returning students out there, I know where you are coming from. It took me 16 years to go back to school after quitting the first time. Good luck to everyone.

hello!i'm sarah, a 20 year old senior nursing student, hopefully graduating next year.

god bless us all!
