If I was charged with a misdemnor can I still get liscened? I was in a car with a open container of alcohol. IN the state of California.

The only place you can get a definitive answer is from California's state board of nursing. Call them and explain your situation. They will be able to advise you if it's a problem or not.

The BRN reviews all prior convictions substantially related to the qualifications, functions or duties of a registered nurse. Each aplication is evaluated on a case by case basis. (Please refer to the Policy Statement on Denial of Licensure.) The BRN considers the nature, severity, and recency of the offenses, as well as rehabilitation and other factors. The board cannot make a determination for approval or denial of licensure without evaluating the entire application and supporting documentation.
