I strongly suggest if you have not yet joined NSNA (National student nurses association to JOIN IT). I also suggestion if you have NEVER been to a NSNA student convention to mark on your calenders right now the next annual NSNA convention which will be held April 23rd-27th, 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona. The reason why I say all this is because I went to my first NSNA even ever just this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday for their mid-year conference and it was SO worth it. The Mini NCLEX review was very helpful, the workshops they held was wonderful, it was a wonderful experience overall and I strongly encourage all Nursing students to go to at least one convention sometime during their nursing school years. I was so glad that I went. I will DEFINITELY, be going to the one in April.

I think I was a member last year, not sure, wonder if you have to re-new every year.. sounds like a good idea to belong:)

I was very active in the NSNA while in school, and I second the recommendation to join! The magazine is great, and the conventions are so much fun (in addition to being a terrific learning experience)! Our local chapter was fairly active, and we did some nice community projects and just generally had a good time. It also looks good on your resume!

It is something you have to renew every year.
