I don't know what's wrong with me!!!

All of a sudden I feel brainless! I am in my 3rd semester & I have worked my butt off to get here. I have always made good grades, now all of a sudden I can't concentrate. For the last week its like I have been in a fog.......You know how you feel when you take cold meds....loopy & can't think. I do have sinus or something & have been feeling like crap for this entire time maybe thats it. I am not asking for medical advice just wondering....have ya'll ever felt like this??? Today in clinicals I could not figure out how to open a syringe package!! In lecture I hear the teacher talking but it makes no sense all I can hear is my head pounding!! Ok I have whined enough.. I just wanted to see if I am going nuts or what. :uhoh21: Thanks, crb613

...are you sleeping well?

...are you eating well, and stuff that is good for you?

...do you get any excercise other than clinicals & heaving nursing texts?

...are you reading the comics daily or something you enjoy, for a few minutes daily?

...I agree with Roy, you need to destress. I did the same thing, got foggy or daydreamed. I could take notes while hearing the words but not comprehending. I needed a "break". My husband made me read a "calvin & hobbs" book one night and I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. It helped.

Thank ya'll & no I don't eat or sleep right. I have had zero exercise since school started back. Well I found out I do have sinus & inner ear infection so I guess I have a reason to be foggy! Whew... I was getting worried bout myself. Thanks for the suggestions & yes I think a de-stressor is also in order!

I felt like that last week in my skills lab. I had a cold/sinus problems too...so undoubtedly that had something to do with it. I actually almost felt like I was going to pass out at one point, but I didn't. For the rest of the day, I felt like exactly what you are describing...like I had taken a cold medicine or something...but I hadn't. My head was in a fog. It's a terrible feeling to feel like you are losing your mind. I was so loopy that day...I left some of my assignments for class at home and did all kinds of crazy things. I'm sure it probably has something to do with your sinuses. Get better soon!

Thank you so much! Yes it is a terrible feeling & I just could not quite figure out why all of a sudden I was feeling so weird. I am still feeling kinda loopy :)... but I have 2 diff. meds so I should be better soon!!! I had to take a test during this time also :stone I was in the top 7 & dropped to 12th!GEEZH.
