OK - to many this may seem silly but - I have to admit it

Our scrubs that we are to wear to clinicals came in today and I am just sitting here grinnin' like an idiot!

May not seem like much to most (or maybe I am just easily entertained?) but it just tickles me to no end to have my first scrubs! They look pretty decent too - a teal blue snap up front top and matching pants

Almost seems like I am not faking this but actually may one day get through this!

And also as I have said elsewhere - Clinicals start Wednesday and I am very excited about that (More than a lil' nervous too I have to admit)

Just had to share - everyone can go back to reading the important stuff now lol

I can't wait to get my uniforms. I know that even though I already know they fit....I'll be trying them on--nametag, stethoscope and all to see how I'm going to look when its time for clinicals.

I'm so excited!!! I can't believe I'm finally a nursing student! :)

Specializes in NICU.

Don't forget to have someone take a picture of you before you go off for your first clinical day, all dressed up! My picture of my first clinical morning is one of my favorites. I look neat, pressed, and terrified. :D

Bedpan,

I can imagine how you're feeling....I can't wait for the day to try on my first scrubs for nursing school. I know you look great!!!!

And I thought I was the only one! When I first started my CNA program, I ran out right away and bought scrubs, sphygmomanometer and stethoscope. I wore my scrubs & stethoscope around the house (sepecially in front of mirrors:)) and couldn't wait for clinicals to start!

Specializes in Neuroscience ICU, CNRN, SCRN.

My husband gave me a set of scrubs and a stethoscope for my birthday last year, and I had just started school...obviously he has a lot of confidence that I'm going to reach my goal! On those really bad days, when I come home from my boring, frustrating office job, I kick off my high heels and peel off the panty hose, and slip into those scrubs, and they feel SO good! I jokingly tell everyone who wants to know "why are you goiing into NURSING?" that the reason is so I can wear comfortable shoes and elastic/drawstring waist pants!

Since I'm not even sure I've been accepted for the Fall program yet, I don't knwow when I'll get to wear the scrubs, but I am going to sooner or later. I can't wait!
